Torn Ticket II puts on one major production every semester, as well as up to two minor productions a semester, an orientation show, and an annual cabaret fundraiser. All Torn Ticket II shows are directed, produced, designed and performed by Tufts students!

Auditions for major productions occur at the beginning of each semester. Auditions for minor productions occur after minor proposals (typically mid-semester). Student Production Staff are assembled by the TTII Production Manager, currently Celia Gittleman '19. Student designers must take the corresponding department class in order to design a major production. Anyone may design a minor production or assist on a major production. Do I have to be a Drama Major to audition for or work on a TTII production? No!
What is the difference between a major and minor production? Major productions happen once a semester, and are voted on by the TTII membership at the end of the previous semester. A major production involves a significant time commitment (roughly 16 hours per week). Minor productions happen up to twice a semester, and are voted on during the current semester. Anyone in attendance can vote on a minor production, regardless of TTII membership status. A minor production involves a smaller time commitment.
How are the shows selected? All Torn Ticket II shows are proposed by eligible student directors and voted on by the Torn Ticket II membership. Proposals for major productions occur the semester before the show, and only voting members may vote. However, non-voting members are welcome and encouraged to attend major proposals and contribute to discussion. Proposals for minor productions occur during the same semester as the shows, and anyone who attends the proposals may vote.
Who is eligible to vote / How do you become a voting member? There are multiple requirements to becoming a voting member. Voting members must: 1. Be undergraduates paying the student activites fee. 2. Attend 60% or more of meetings in the current semester. 3. complete EITHER*: a. one major and one minor commitment, at least one of which must directly toward Torn Ticket II OR b. three minor commitments, at least two of which must be directly toward Torn Ticket II It's easy to become a voting member -- come to meetings or check out the weekly minutes to find out about commitment opportunities. *Returning members may complete just one commitment to Torn Ticket II in the current semester to renew your eligibility to vote.
What counts as a commitment? A commitment is anything that helps Torn Ticket II, or its parent group 3Ps, as an organization. Examples of major commitments include being in the cast, crew, pit orchestra or production staff of any show, or service on an executive board. Minor commitments include postering for a show, ushering, build hours, and anything else the executive board deems appropriate. As the time commitment to being a member of run crew varies for every show, this may count for either a major or a minor commitment at the discretion of the Torn Ticket II executive board. Also remember that any Torn Ticket commitment counts as a commitment for 3Ps as well!
When does Torn Ticket II meet? Torn Ticket II meets Sundays at 5pm in room 203 of the Meyer Campus Center. All are welcome!
